Software Update Introduced For Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and PLAY
Mobile phone giant Sony Ericsson has recently revealed its latest updates on its two popular handsets. These handsets are Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY. With the help of this update the users will be able to enjoy certain changes such as the home screen in the landscape mode, stereo sounds in the videos, etc. These changes are definitely not big as the devices still run on Android v2.3.3. Check out some more details on the update and how it can impact the usability of the phones.
When the update gets completed, the home screen of both the devices will be working on the landscape mode. In addition to that, the users can also select diverse themes as well. Video sound is the other major change that this update has brought. The video sound changes from mono to stereo for both Xperia Arc and Xperia PLAY. However, the other factors of the videos remain similar.
It is expected that the update will feature DLNA support. This will help the users to play media content by using the devices that are enabled with DLNA. In fact, the performance of the loud speaker is also improved because of the impact of xLoud while playing the music.
Many people are wondering about how they can check for the update in these Sony Ericsson phones. They need to go to the “Setting” option in their website, then select “About” and then opt for the “Software Update.” The PC companion of Sony Ericsson can also be used for updating PLAY and Arc.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and PLAY are two top of the line phones with high-end features and abilities. The Arc is a complete touch screen device with 4.2 inches display screen and high end 8 mega pixel camera with 720p @ 30fps video recording capacity. Whereas PLAY is also a top-class touch screen device with 4.01 inches display with dedicated PSP like gaming buttons. Display varieties of both the phones are LED-backlit LCD. The handsets are released in March and the response has been good.
For the time being, this update is okay. But, bigger and better update is expected in the future.
