Samsung Galaxy 3D To Be Here Soon

3D Smartphone’s haven’t yet captured the market like it was touted to in the past, but according to a reliable Korean website, Samsung seems to be taking the mobile 3D segment pretty seriously. Samsung will be introducing a 3D variant of their highly popular Galaxy S2 model within Q4 of this year. The move could see the likes of the HTC EVO 3D and the LG Optimus 3D acquire affair degree of competition in this rare space. The Korean website has also revealed the fact that the Smartphone will be referred as the Samsung Galaxy 3D. Samsung phones have lately been the centre of attraction, especially Samsungs flagship Smartphone the Galaxy S2. Samsung reportedly sold a staggering 3 million copies of the Galaxy S II within 55 days of its launch, which is quite amazing especially when you consider the amount of competition lurking within the mobile market.

According to ETNews, the Galaxy 3D will pack the same Super AMOLED plus display seen on the Galaxy S2 along with the same 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS or later and dual 8 megapixel cameras. The handset would also be able to pair up to modern 3DTV’s thanks to the provided HDMI connection. However, the really major change within the Galaxy 3D from the Galaxy S2 would be the secondary 3D 8MP camera located at the rear end. In total, the Galaxy 3D will sport 3 cameras, two at the back and the standard 2.0MP front facing camera for video calling.

There have also been news filtering in about the Galaxy 3D possibly shifting its processor base to the Tegra 2 platform rather than opting for the usual Exynos chipset. Samsung recently unveiled Galaxy R or Samsung I9103 that showcased incredible levels of performance running on the newer Tegra 2 chipset. Benchmarking results clearly confirm the Tegra 2‘s GPU prowess as the chipset quite easily nails every other chipset in competition. The Galaxy 3D could well be hitting European shelves within the holiday season, but what news agencies couldn’t confirm was mobile phone deals that European buyers could expect when the Smartphone finally arrives here in Europe.
