Release Date of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Gingerbread Version Approaching

The launch date of the Gingerbread version of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has received a new jolt with a video launched over the Web lately. The news already broken back in March, claimed the future availability of Xperia X10 in Android 2.3 Gingerbread version. However, the recent video that suffered leakage has created a stifle among the crowd once again. The video previews the OS update as well as a sort of hint to the nearing release date for the same.

However, the catch is that several changes have been made in the features in relation to those promised in the rumor released in March. The propaganda generated in the month of March had promised the user interface of the phone camera to be changed to that of stock Android after the update. But, this seems like a vacant promise, as this video speaks otherwise. It says that the camera UI after the update will remain the same as the older Android version. The change was implemented as requests and pleas from Xperia X10 users flooded the inbox of the makers.

Additionally, the Facebook features within the Xperia X10 functionalities will be included in the update, starting from the lineup of 2011 of the Sony droids. The update will cast similar effects on the gestures controls and desktop layout of the OS. A good news for the music lovers is that, while Xperia X10 already promises a booming sound experience, this update will further gift it with an equilizer for greater quality sound. The device can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot or modem to access the Web.

Talking about the apps, the update will be a blessing for application lovers. Gingerbread X10 will support all the current applications that can be obtained from the Android Market that includes the Adobe flash player.

If the video is to be believed, the release date has been scheduled sometime in August. A bad news for the X10 and Android user is that those who have been modified by the network operators might not be able to utilize the upgrade. Lucrative mobile phone deals for Sony Ericsson phones are awaiting to be tapped in the stores.
