Samsung Galaxy S 2 Available in April 2011

It has finally arrived, yes the Samsung Galaxy S 2 release date is here, a very reliable source  at mobiles.co.uk has told us that they are due to have this fantastic smartphone on the 25th of April and has also stated that shipping will begin the night before. The Samsung Galaxy S 2 went down a storm at Mobile World Congress earlier this year so this news has got our office going crazy with excitement. We are a bit gutted we can’t get our hands on one a little sooner though. We are sure many of you will be very excited about this news.

As we mentioned before the Galaxy S 2 went down very well with nearly everyone at MWC this year and this is why. This amazing mobile phone is packed full of amazing features like it’s predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S. The first major aspect of the Galaxy S 2 is the Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system and 1 GHz dual core processor making this mobile phone run like a dream. Samsung claim that the Galaxy S 2 is the thinnest smartphone on the market at just 8.49mm with it’s overall dimensions being 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.49mm and it weighs just 116 grams. There is a very impressive 4.3 inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with provides the user with beautiful detail and clarity. Along with the fantastic display you will have Swype text, accelerometer sensor, multi touch input method, proximity sensor, Gyroscope sensor and Gorilla glass. This alone provides a fantastic reason to purchase the Galaxy S 2.

There are so many other amazing features to get you teeth in to including an 8 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, smile detection, face detection, image stabiliser and geo tagging. Videos can be recorded in beautiful HD at 1080p@30fps. There will be plenty of storage in the Galaxy S 2 with expandable memory up to 32 gigabytes. Other amazing features will include WiFi, 3G HSDPA/MSUPA, microUSB, Bluetooth. Social network integration, YouTube and GPS navigation with AGPS support to name just a few.
