LG Optimus 2X March Release Date
LG have finally announced a European release date for the LG Optimus 2X for the end of March. The Optimus 2X is the first mobile phone to be released with a dual-core processor and has led the way for smartphone technology. LG have surprisingly kept to the month they said they would when the Optimus 2X was announced at the beginning of 2011.
The LG Optimus 2X is an attractive looking smartphone with good size 4 inch capacitive touch screen providing features like a gyro sensor, proximity sensor for auto turn off, accelerometer sensor for auto rotate and touch sensitive controls. There is an impressive 8 mega-pixel camera for capturing precious moments with an LED flash, autofocus and geo tagging. The HD 1080p video records superb footage and can be played back via the 720p TV out HDMI port. LG have also given the Optimus 2X a 1.3 mega-pixel camera for making video calls.
If you are a fan of the internet you will be pleased to know the LG Optimus 2X will have a HTML web browser and Google search with internet connectivity via Wi-Fi and 3G HSDPA/HSUPA with wireless Bluetooth data transfers and microUSB for transfers using a USB cable to a compatible device. There will also be social network integration as well as YouTube and Google Talk.
LG have yet to announce if the Optimus 2X will have an upgrade from the Android v2.2 to the v2.3 Gingerbread operating system, we hope so as what would be the point of a smartphone with the great ARM Cortex A9 1 GHz Dual Core Processor with a not so great operating system. There is capable storage in the LG Optimus 2X with 8 gigabytes of internal storage expandable via microSD memory card to 32 gigabytes.
The LG Optimus 2X will definitely be a great mobile phone to get your hands on in 2011 and we are sure there will be plenty of competitive Optimus 2X deals available soon. Take a look at all of our mobile phone reviews.
