Apple iOS 4.3 Update Makes Way for iPhone Personal Hotspots

The launch of the iPad 2 might have been the headline of Apple’s announcement in the recent past, but the news that the new iOS 4.3 update would finally bring iPhone personal hotspots to the Apple iPhone 4 was big news too.

It is true that the launch of Apple iPad 2 was the biggest announcement by Apple boss, Steve Jobs, but the latest update of new iOS 4.3 is a big news as well. Because of this update, the users of iPhone 4 will now be able to use personal hospots like the iPhone Wi-Fi Hotspot. Now it is possible for the users to share data, which they have in their contact to a tablet pc or notebook. This is something that the users of Android powered handsets are using for a long time. In fact, the popularity of the Android phones has surpassed that of iPhones and it seems a good move by Apple to remain active in the competition.

Those who want to make their iPhones function as a data modem, they might require to make further payments for using data that they have already paid for, on their respective mobile phone deals. There are several unreliable evidences of how the users should turn on this functionality. However, Techradar, which is a trusted source, have revealed which service providers in the UK are going to provide this update of iPhone iOS 4.3 Wi-Fi hotspot to the customers.

According to the report, O2 is open to the idea of bringing this update as they regularly refresh their plans that reflect the market trend. However, there is no mention about the exact date from when this update will be available. Vodafone also confirmed that its contract customers will be able to enjoy this upgrade of Wi-Fi Hotspots on their iPhone. Three UK confirmed that the subscribers of their One Plan can use the phone as a modem for thethering and can access the Personal Hotspot feature without any further charges. However, Tesco is not yet sure whether they will offer this service to the iPhone users or not. With almost all the leading operators showing interest on Apple iOS 4.3, it will be exciting to see how the end-users react to it.
