Apple iPhone 5 Review
There are rumours and speculation about the new Apple iPhone 5 that is expected to be released in the first quarter of 2011. Apple are pushing forward the release of the iPhone 5 to coincide with the release of the iPad 2 due out in march 2011. Previous iPhones have been released in June or July, this seems more doable than the rumoured March release date. With Apple having a few design faults including antenna problems and cracked glass with the iPhone 4 they are working hard to make sure the iPhone 5 will be up to scratch. With so many fantastic handsets being released with impressive operating systems including the Samsung Google Nexus S with the new Google Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS and the Nokia N8 being released with the new Symbian^3 OS Apple really do need to step up there game for this mobile phone.
Some of the rumoured features for the iPhone 5 include an integrated SIM, this will work with manufacturing a built-in SIM card, the consumer will purchasing the iPhone 5 on the web and Apple will activate the SIM card, this would cut out the middle man. As there would be no SIM card in the iPhone 5 it will make it almost impossible to unlock. There are also speculations about the iPhone 5 having a 32 gigabyte version and a 64 gigabyte version giving you plenty of room for more apps, photo’s etc. Another interesting feature to be rumoured is the iPhone 5 may have NFC (near field communication), this is the technology that is used in some bank cards and oyster cards that just have to be scanned on a machine without the need to insert a PIN code. If this rumour is true it will enable the user to banish bank cards, gig tickets and oyster cards and just use the Apple iPhone 5, this would be a huge leap in mobile phone technology. Other rumoured features include extended battery life, shatter and scratch proof screen, OLED display, face recognition, custom message tones , 4G technology and video chat to be on 3G and 4G, not just available via Wi-Fi.
If these rumours were all to be true then the revolutionary Apple iPhone 5 and will cause a storm in the mobile phone world, changing mobile phone technology forever. With so much going on it does make you wonder if there will be silly design faults like the antenna problem again. Watch this space for more information about the Apple iPhone 5 as we receive it.
