Sony Ericsson Xperia X12- Gearing Up for 2011 Release

If the rumour is to be believed, Sony Ericsson is planning to bring out its newest member in the Xperia series in 2011. The handset is touted to be the named as Anzu with the badge of X12. The device is now in rumour stage and the images that are being circulated over the web are in the pre-release form. Therefore, we cannot make any serious comment on the looks, but as of now we can say that the leaked snaps of the mobile phone looks super cool.

In terms of appearance, Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 definitely seems to have a certain edge over its predecessor Xperia X10 and Xperia X10 mini. Though there are some similarities, but the screen size has gone bigger with 4.3 inches in comparison to the X10’s 4 inches. It is expected to be a TFT capacitive touch screen with the visibility of 16 million colours and 480 x 854 pixels resolution. Apart from the huge display screen, the device is expected to include 1080 HD video recording and HDMI out, which means it is going to pose serious competition to the Samsung Galaxy S.

The surprise is not over; Sony Ericsson Anzu may also come integrated with a 12 mega pixel camera, which is at par with several dedicated good quality digital cameras available in the market. The camera has some amazing list of features such as LED flash, image stabilization, face and smile detection, geo tagging, and Touch Focus.

News mongers are also whispering that Anzu could be among the first few handsets to run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Now, this could be really interesting as Android Froyo is already making waves as one of the best mobile phone operating systems.
