Panasonic sell around 5.5 million devices in Japan (as estimated in March 2011) and are however expected to grow to roughly around 15 million units of sale in 2015 by catering to the international market.

It is hard to tell how the Panasonic models will do against brands like the iPhone that has dominated the mobile market, however one can never actually tell.
