Substantial Delay in The Release of LG Android Tablet

The fact that Life Is Good had been working on the making of a tablet is already getting erased from people’s memory due to the continuous postponing of its date of release. It was during the announcement of Optimus Chic and Optimus one that the due release of the LG Android tablet was let out in public. Since then, the last date slated for its release was by the year ending. But, now, looks like the makers have changed their mind about the date, once again.

The date has been further, pushed back to an indefinite date, and in meanwhile, LG plans to concentrate on its smartphone sales sector and regain some potential sale in the similar ground.

LG has put up high hopes on the Optimus One P500, as they expect a ground breaking sale of over ten millions globally. However, LG speaks on Android 2.2 Froyo, as something that is not suitable to be fit in a tablet. The tablet, which was heard to be incorporated with the Froyo version of Android, has hence been pushed back from releasing in the market. Reports have been heard, that the due date of release has been lined up to January, next year.

Even Google, itself is of the opinion that Android Froyo is not an ideal system for the computer tablets. The delay as estimated by us is possibly due to this error occurred at the last minute. LG is now working with the Google experts to decide on the suitable version that serves the purpose most. We are busy speculating that if not Froyo, then which version is going to replace it. Perhaps the Android 3.0 Gingerbread can do the job well as it is rumored to be tablet oriented or at least friendly with the tablets.

However, the Froyo has been reported to be running smoothly on BlackBerry, Galaxy Tab and the new PlayBook.

Good for you, LG. Everyone has been running so fast, trying to get a tablet competitor out there for the ipad. At least LG acknowledges that Android is great for smartphones.
