Vodafone Eyeing to Launch Galaxy Tab
Last week Samsung revealed Galaxy Tab at IFA and it has created quite a stir in the industry. Those who have got the hands-on experience on the device are saying that it is going to provide stiff competition to Apple iPad, which is leading the market of tablet PCs at the moment. In order to make the competition tougher with iPad, Samsung is planning to bring in certain subsidies for the operators. It seems like Vodafone is already taking keen interest on the device. Though the leading operator has not yet announced the price and release date of the device, but the insiders are predicting that it is going to be launched sometime in October.
The device may cost somewhere around £130 to $300 £195 along with the subsidies provided by the operator. However, nothing can be confidently stated in terms of the price as Samsung has not revealed it yet.
As far as the specifications are concerned, it seems that Galaxy Tab is going to be a winner. It comes loaded with a huge TFT capacitive touch screen of 7.0 inches, which will provide 16 million colours and 600 x 1024 pixels resolution. Other prominent highlights of the display includes an accelerometer for UI auto rotate, TouchWiz UI, three axis gyro sensor, multi touch input method, touch sensitive controls, and proximity sensor for auto turn off.
The biggest highlight of the tablet is its telephony highlights. With such an insane-sized display, it is practically impossible to hold it nest to your ears while calling. However, the users can put it on the loudspeaker mode or connect via hands free while handling the calls.
It will bring on 3.15 mega pixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, Bluetooth v3.0, ARM Cortex A8 1 GHz processor, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Social networking integration, and a lot more.
