Orange, T Mobile merge networks
Orange and T Mobile merged their networks recently in the UK allowing users to hop between the two networks.
The two brands had merged earlier this year but functioned as separate entities. Orange recently also joined the international band wagon of others who made use of the new HD voice call technology. T Mobile however went on without it. With this new move of a merger of networks, users now can avail of both the networks to use whichever one suits them.
The new announcement can also be positive for the users of the two brands that previously functioned as individuals brands with a huge following.
The two brands together have around 30 million users that can benefit from this move. Experts also say that this is probably the first positive action arising from the merger that happened this year. They also added that T Mobile users were probably more likely to gain from this move than Orange users.
In the light of the recent network problems in UK, this is a welcome sign to mobile users. Users of T Mobile and Orange would simply have to sign up for the “roaming” facility after which their phone would jump from one network to the other, when the range fluctuates.
The T Mobile myTouch 3G is the latest phone that the brand released in the market and along with the merger with Orange, has gone a long way in helping T Mobile in the mobile manufacturing industry. The company has lately been competing again brands like the Apple and HTC. The Apple iPhone 4 G also added to the complexity of the market demands.
Orange and T Mobile stated that this process of merging the networks would happen almost overnight so that users would be able to benefit at the earliest.
