LG Brings Wink Series in The European Market
Recently there was an announcement that LG is launching its affordable range of touch screen phones and the series is called Wink. The news is true, but in Europe, these devices will not be sold as “Wink” phones. In Europe, LG Wink will be called Cookie, which means the handsets will be made available as extended versions of Cooke devices. The phones are similar and some Wink devices will even support Wi Fi in some areas.
LG announced three mobile phones under its Wink Series and all the devices are touch screen and affordable handsets. It seemed that these phones will be the next generation of the Cookie mobiles that are still popular among the users. However, now it is clear that these phones will be marketed rather as a part of Cookie series in Europe and Wink series in other parts of the world.
The detailed sheets of the specifications are available, and now it is clear that there will be three mobile phones in this series. Earlier, there was no Wi Fi reference in the mobile phones, but now the devices of the LG Wink 3G T320 and LG Wink Style T310 will come up with two versions outside the European market. One version will be with Wi Fi and other one will be without. The network providers can opt for any version they want. However, there is no Wi Fi connectivity in the third offering of the Wink phones, which is LG Wink T300. This phone does not support Wi Fi in Europe and other markets.
In fact, the European versions of Wink or the latest Cookie phones have no trace of Wi Fi connectivity. That is why, these mobile phones in the European market will cost less.
