Vodafone May Bring Android Updates

Vodafone Android UpdatesThe Vodafone customers waiting to receive updates on their Android powered phones will be disheartened as the telecom giant has decided to back down. A few days back, the Vodafone subscribers who use HTC Desire got a software update on their Mobile Phone. They expected the updated to be the Android upgrade, but it was a shocker for them. What they got was bookmarks and branded applications by Vodafone and these apps were irremovable. Vodafone received innumerous flaks from those customers and hence they backed out. Now, they will bring updates with no apps.

They will come up with a new software that will make the users upgrade to Google Android’s latest version. This time the users will probably get what they were expecting with the last upgrade.

The name of the latest version of Android is Froyo or Version 2.2, but the Vodafone users will receive the update in a different name and it will be called Vodafone 360. It will be made optional for the users to download and the only difference it will bring is the network settings. The difference is made to optimize it with the Vodafone network. This new update is expected to be ready within the next ten days.

When the next update will roll update, the unwanted application of the last upgrade will be removed from the phone. The users will enjoy certain vital features with the update such as Flash software support, HD video recording and high-end wireless functionalities.

Earlier Vodafone refused to back down on their unwanted update, but now it seems that they have realized the fact that it would have been a big mistake. Therefore, the company has announced the Android update and decided to pull back the annoying applications.
