Expectation of Nokia N9 Become Higher Than its Previous Version of N8

The rumors about the new Nokia N9 are doing the round in internet. The features and the looks of the yet to be released smart phone is making everyone inquisitive. Speculation is rife that the new Nokia mobile will have a full QWERTY keyboard and 4 inch HD display of the multi capacitive type. The Nokia N9 is rumored to have an 8 MP camera mounted on the back side, with dual LED flash. According to the latest trend; all the current connectivity options such as HDMI port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G are expected to feature on the N9.

Interestingly, few web sites on the internet have already posted the photos of the yet awaited N9 mobile. The validity of the photos is another matter of controversy. The operating system of the N9 will be most probably MeeGo. This deduction stems from the fact that Nokia has earlier stated that all the future N series phones after the N8, are going to be installed with the MeeGo operating system.

The Nokia N8 is the last N series phone of Nokia to host the Symbian operating system. The N8 is to be equipped with the latest, version 3.0 Symbian operating system. Nokia is technically shifting from the Symbian OS based devices to MeeGo OS based devices. MeeGo is a joint effort project, between Nokia and Intel. The venture is aimed to merge the Intel Moblin mobile operating system with the Nokia developed Maemo OS.

The mobile devices chief of Nokia, Anssi Vanjoki quoted to Wall Street Journal that the MeeGo based devices will be hitting the markets by the end of 2010 and the N8 will be up for sale in the third quarter of 2010. Vanjoki also clarified that Nokia is not planning to develop Android operating system based mobile phones.
