The new Vodafone 845 Mobile


The well known network service provider Vodafone has announced a new mobile phone in April 2010, called 845. The mobile is going to run on the Android operating system platform. T-Mobile earlier has launched the T-Mobile Pulse and the Pulse Mini hand sets. The Android based mobile phone from the house of Vodafone is going to be a budget mobile. It is priced at a very economical rate. The mobile is actually manufactured by Huawei, for Vodafone. They have manufactured the Pulse mobile set for T-Mobile as well.

The Vodafone 845 mobile has the dimensions of 100 x 55 x 13 mm and the display screen is only 2.8 inches. The screen is not appropriate for extensive text messaging or regular browsing. The pixel resolution of the mobile is 240 x 320 pixels. The small resolution cannot support smooth video viewing like other top of the line mobile phone sets. The screen on the mobile is a resistive touch screen, which requires hard handling for the touch screen to respond.

The mobile phone is compatible with GSM 900/ 1800/ 1900 2G network and HSDPA 900/ 2100 3G network. The mobile has an internal memory storage capacity of 512 MB with a 128 MB RAM. The microSD slot is also provided on the mobile phone. The microSD slot can help to support external memory up to 16 GB. The data exchange is supported over the GPRS, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth and USB. The camera on the back of the mobile has a MP rating of 3.15. It can produce photos with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, the absence of LED flash on the camera makes shooting in the dark impossible.

The mobile runs on the Android, version 2.1 operating system. The main advantage of the Vodafone 845 is that, it offers Android OS based phone at a budgeted price.
