Apple calls a news conference
In response to the rumours that have been floating around in cyber media space, Apple called for a sudden news conference tomorrow.
Apple that has struggled to maintain itself over the problems that it has been facing with its latest model – the Apple iPhone 4, has seen significant decline in its share value after it dropped by a humongous 4 per cent yesterday, costing the company over $9 million. The value has not picked up since then but crawled lower today.
This could have a significant impact of the value of the Apple in the long run and can be viewed as a symptom of the damaged Apple reputation. Experts also stated that the brand had failed miserably in handling this issue properly and has only let it blow up on them.
The Apple iPhone 4 has faced problems since its launch in June with users complaining about a signal problem. Matters intensified when Apple refused to admit the mistake but blamed it on a deception of the signal bars on the phone and stated publically that they were changing their calculation formula. This strategy did not however last too long and the media were all over them, along with much disappointed Apple fans.
In an email exchange with a user of the iPhone 4, Steve Job resorted to what many would term as ‘arrogance’ in response to the users query of the signal problem. And from then on, it was down hill. Consumer Reports made things worse by refusing to recommend the iPhone 4. However Apple’s silence on the whole matter puzzled the media and the users.
The Apple news conference called to be held on Friday has not issued out their agenda, however it isn’t too difficult to figure that out. One thing is for certain, that the Apple need to put their iPhone 4 model aside in order to prevent itself from loosing even those few die-hard Apple fans that still exist.
