Nokia X5-01 challenges market norm with “unusual look”

Nokia X5-01Nokia showcased the new Nokia X5-01 model at a Nokia Connection Event in Singapore today. They also announced that they would release a Nokia X6 8 GB version that would basically be a less expensive adapted version of the Nokia X 6 (which has 32 GB memory).

The new Nokia X5-01 model has an unusual shape and looks like it has been squashed to fit. It has a square like slider with a full scale QWERTY keyboard that slides open. The Nokia model has quad band GSM and tri band HSDPA support that enables users to use it all over the world. The device is also Wi-Fi enabled and has Bluetooth 2.1 version.

The 2.36 inch display screen helps easy viewing. The music player on the phone has some dynamic innovative features that enhance usage of the device and often acts as the selling point for the phone. One can jump to a random track simple by spinning the phone.

It integrates all the major popular social networks like facebook, twitter, MySpace and Hi5 thus enabling the user to communicate with as many people as possible, giving him a crucial edge in his professional and social life online.

Another interesting feature of this phone is its ‘shake feature’. Here we can check the amount of emails we have with a simple shake, as the “message balls” will indicate to us the number of emails that we have.

The phone also has a 5 mega pixel camera with an in built LED flash, which is bound to hit a spark of interest with those who have the shutter bug.

Nokia has for long dominated the mobile market, not just in the UK but all around the world. The launch of this unusual looking model displays the brands courage to stand out from the cluster of similar looking mobile models and speaks high of the company’s reputation.
