Vodafone to accept pre-orders on HTC Wildfire
Vodafone will be accepting pre orders on the new to be released HTC Wildfire model mobile phone, the Vodafone Company said recently.
This is to prevent a rushed line of customers as well as to understand the demand in the market. It would help the company in predicting the estimated projected sales as well as understand the requirements of marketing, thus helping them plan a better strategy, if required.
The network giants will also be dangling budget purchase plans on the model to entice sales.
Interested customers who want to order the phone will now be able to purchase it for as low as £20 and will also get a free handset of a slightly inferior HTC Desire like model, along with their purchase.
This deal is of a two year period which enables the user to update to a higher grade model like the HTC Wonder slab tablet, when it comes along and not remain stuck on an outdated model and scheme.
The Vodafone brand has been the first amongst its competitors to open the phone to pre orders. Few brands such as the T Mobile are following suit, however most of the other networks are not even in the fray.
Vodafone has also used this scheme on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini, which can also be bought for £20, but would not receive as many free minutes.
The HTC Wildfire is a Taiwanese firm product. While it plays along the path of the other HTC phones, it has its own unique differences. Its screen is much better than the HTC Tattoo and it has a processor that equals the HTC Hero processor. However the one dominating factor that governs the phone is the simple underlying fact that it is a budget phone and is targeted for a budget conscious audience.
