Samsung S5350 Shark – The candybar style device

With the three handsets announced in the Shark range, S5350 is the second among them. The other two handsets are Samsung S5550 Shark 2 and Samsung S3550 Shark 3. Designed in a sleek candybar style, the handset, nicknamed as Shark, is marketed as the powerhouse of social network connectivity. All the popular social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, etc. are easily accessible. It seems like the handset is aimed particularly to the younger generation with its super efficient social network connectivity. It also brings in a fabulous application that allows fast and easy uploading of videos and images to the sites such as Picasa, Photobucket, Flickr, and YouTube.

The Samsung Shark 5350 has integrated Google Maps, but it does not support GPS natively. The results may vary due to network triangulation depending on your location at a time. Therefore, to get the best result, using a Bluetooth GPS unit is a good idea.

Samsung S5350 Shark offers good camera features with 3.2 megapixel. The major highlights of the camera are auto focus and built in smile detection features. There is a secondary camera that faces the frontal part, which indicates the 3G data transfer facility of the Shark.

S5350 is a 3G supportive device and it also ensures high speed downloads at up to 3.6 mbps with HSDPA. The combined power of Class 10 EDGE and GPRS along with WiFi support makes it a feature-rich handset in the middle range of the mobile phones.

The design of the phone is immaculately refreshing and it is very easy to handle. It is loaded with attractive features, but its price is very affordable. It seems that Samsung has done the right thing to make the phone affordable so that more and more young people can buy this handset. When other mobile phone companies are churning out high-end touch screen smart phones, Samsung’s Shark range comes as a fresh breather.
