Those who have seen the BlackBerry Curve 8900 of T Mobile and AT&T, they will know that BlackBerry Tour 9630 is a combination of both the devices. Even the size of the phone is somewhere between the said versions of blackberry. The quality of call in the device is very clear as the person on the other side of the phone is clearly heard even in a noisy area. Apart from the most important feature of a phone that is calling, BlackBerry Tour 9630 excels immaculately in terms of look. The screen is as clear as a plasma screen. 65,000 colour display is sharp and rich. The display comes with a resolution of 480 pixels x360 pixels but the bezel around the LCD screen is not that attractive.

In spite of that, BlackBerry Tour 9630 excels in terms of its looks. The casing of the phone is done with solid black and the full QWERTY keypad and the trackball greatly compliment the design of the phone. When discussing about a blackberry, keyboard is obviously one of the most important feature. Both bold and curve-8900 features excellent keyboards, living up to the reputation of blackberry. Surprisingly, the keyboard of BlackBerry Tour 9630 is not very comfortable as there is no space between the keys, which affects the accuracy too. Both the keyboards of bold and curve-8900 are much accurate and faster than BlackBerry Tour 9630. However, the trackball of Tour 9630 is quite smooth and impressive.

Let’s find out about the multimedia features of BlackBerry Tour 9630. Tour includes a 3.15 mega pixel camera that is equipped with LED flash and auto focus. Good image quality in poor light is ensured with LED flash and auto focus of the 3.15 mega pixel camera. Tour’s camera also includes geo tagging to load the history of the location where the image is shot. There is a video playback in the device and the camera can take effortless video shots too. The video playback plays the video files captured by the camera as well as the downloaded videos and videos transferred from other sources. Video playback of BlackBerry Tour 9630 is capable of playing video files as in the likes of WMV, MPEG4, H.263 and H.264.
