BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2

There are many people who are waiting for the arrival of new BlackBerry device called Storm 2. Though, there is no official announcement made about this berry, there is speculation that the model number of the device would be 9550. There was a video footage released by certain website about BlackBerry Storm 2 and according that footage it seems that the device would be something to watch out for.

All those who haven’t seen the first blackberry-storm, here is a reminder for them. The design of the original storm was really rare and unique. Pressing of button gives a real time experience as the display screen sinks while pressing. It is truly a groundbreaking experience on a complete touch screen mobile device. But, blackberry-storm was quite a let down because of certain features like plump body, instability of software, less inspiring camera shots and missing of Wi Fi factor. Now, with Storm 2, BlackBerry is supposed to work on the limitations of the earlier version and make it successful among the users. About other features, we are not sure but as of now it seems that BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2 will be featuring Wi Fi.

The unannounced BlackBerry Storm 2 will be featuring 360 × 480 resolution capacitive screen. When the phone is off, the screen will be fixed but, the users can resume clicking once the phone is switched on. The earlier version of Storm 2 came with big gap between that frame and the display that results in wobble and dust around the area. Storm 2 is reducing that gap in the design and hence it would feel cleaner.

So far the video that is out displaying the hardware and software of BlackBerry 9550 is the early version. Hence, the details are going to change in Storm 2. So far, there is no confirmed news about certain changes in the hardware and software. Since, the final version of BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2 is not announced yet, it cannot be said what specific changes it is going to implement.

Now, let’s discuss about the specifications that Storm 2 is planning to bring in. It is going to support quad bad GSM network along with EDGE and single band UMTS with HSDPA (2100MHz only). Storm 2 will be CDMA 1xRTT/EVDO Rev. A device that will include Wi Fi. Like the original storm, BlackBerry 9550 will run on OS 5.0. 3.2 mega pixel camera is another highlight of BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2.
