Nokia N86 – First Nokia 8 MP camera – release date 22 july 2009

nokia n86The Nokia N86 was recently launched at the MWC meeting, it is Nokia first 8 megapixel phone. It joins the like of the Nokia N96 and N97 in the n series. The N86 is a dual slide handset much like the N96 with a 2.6 inch LCD screen. You should be able to get the Nokia N86 on contract within the next 8 weeks. Expect it to be free on 18 month contracts. The N86 has integrated A-GPS which can be used with navigation software and for tagging a GPS location to photos. The N86 8MP camera comes with Tessar lens and Carl Zeiss optics to ensure your photos will be top quality. With this amount of decent hardware the Nokia N86 camera will be pure quality. To ensure your pictures are top quality in dim lite conditions there is a dual LED flash. There is a USB plug on the phone and a cable in the box, this can be used for fast data transfer as well as charging.

The Nokia N86 is very similar to the Nokia N85. You can expand the memory by using a MicroSD™ card, up to 8 gigabytes out supported. For wireless connectivity you can make use of WI-FI® or Bluetooth, WI-FI® can also be used to connect to the internet if you are able to pick up a hotspot. With the current economic climate we are expecting some very competitive Nokia N86 deals when it gets released on the 22 July 2009. Unfortunately to buy the handset out right will cost £550! obviously Nokia our out of touch to how skint we all are! Hopefully the retailers will be able to drive down the wholesale price and offer some great Nokia N86 contract deals. Due to the cost of the handset you are unlikely, at least at first to get the Nokia N86 with free gifts. You may have to wait until the handset has been released for 3 months or so and the price comes down. We very much doubt you will be able to get this phone on pay as you go unless you are willing to pay big bucks! The Nokia N97 gets released around the same time, 20nd June 2009 with would you believe it, an even bigger price tag at £630! At this cost you may not even be able to get it free on contract, but we will have to wait and see how competitive the deals become between the retailers.
