HTC Magic vs HTC G1
The HTC Magic or the G2 as some like to refer to it is the next installment from HTC into the Android Market. Unlike the G1 which was exclusive to T-Mobile the HTC Magic will be exclusive to Vodafone. The Magic looks very similar to the G1 and has a large 3.2 inch LCD screen which is touch sensitive. The Magic also features a built-in digital compass, GPS to be used with navigation software and geo-tagging and G-Sensor which detects the rotation of the phone. If you like taking pictures then you can make use of the 3.2 MP camera which is an upgrade from the 2.0 MP camera previously seen on the T-Mobile G1. It has some great features which can be operated via the touch sensitive controls. As long as your service provider supports internet access you can do this using the 3.5G network or connect to a local area network, providing its open or you have log in details via Wi-Fi. Others ways to connect with the HTC Magic is via Bluetooth 2.0 or the HTC ExtUSB, this is a 11 pin mini USB and Audio jack (which was missing from the G1) all in one. We current have some great HTC Magic deals on Vodafone.
The on board music functionality is pretty much the same as we saw in the HTC G1. The Magic support a massive range of different file formats including MP3, AAC, AAC+, WAV, WMA and MIDI, there are a few more but not many users use them. They have managed to make the HTC Magic slightly lighter than its older brother, the G1 as the Magic weighs in at 118 grams, 40 grams lighter than the G1.
In terms of functionality the Magic will definitely work wonders for you, its packed full of high tech tools. Checkout out full detailed HTC Magic Review.
