We have talked about this latest LG phone for a while now and LG have just confirmed it will be released as the LG Viewty Smart. The LG Smart is due for release very soon and will debut on Orange within the UK with some great LG Viewty Smart deals available.

The LG Viewty smart have a very smart 8 MP camera and be the slimmest camera phone we have seen at only 12.4mm in depth. This is not the only change, the ISO setting can be changed and set to a maximum of 1600. Changing this setting determines how sensitive the camera is to light, it will now enable you to take dim light photos previously considered too dark and needing a flash. You should use an ISO setting of 100 to 200 when taking photos outside in sunny conditions. Up this too between 400 and 800 if the sky is overcast and the sun is not shining. 1600 ISO setting should be reserved for when taking photos at nighttime or in extremely low light conditions. The LG Viewty Smart also has mutli face detection which is great when you have lots of faces in your picture, although I’m sure that was fairly obvious from the name of the feature. Other features of the LG Smartcamera include continuous shot, panorama shot, Art shot, touch shot or Beauty shot.

The original LG Viewty was a massive success and we are expecting the LG Viewty Smart to do just as well, even in the current doom and gloom. The LG Smart will feature the 3D graphical user interface which was debuted on the LG Arena, which seems to be selling extremely well. The User interface will be tweaked slightly to work well with the 8MP cameras included on this LG handset. Viewing pictures will be a pleasure on the 3 inch wide screen using 800 x 480 resolutions, very high for a mobile phone. You will know exactly when you took the photo as you can tag the GPS location to the photo using geo-tagging.

The LG Viewty Smart bears the heritage of the first LG Viewty, which sold over 6.5 million units. It offers a number of upgraded features including an 8 megapixel camera with sensitivity up to ISO 1600, a higher resolution WVGA touchscreen, a more intelligent image processor and LG’s advanced 3D user interface piloted on the Arena. The UI is being specifically tailored around the LG Viewty Smart’s camera features with an on-screen dial which allows instant switching of shot modes and a thumbnail photo viewer as well as touch options for zooming in and out or using multi-touch pinching or stretching. There will be a massive 1.5GB of memory stashed inside this handset plus it can be upgraded to 32GB using a MicroSD™ card.
